How the numbers work
Every metric on this site is converted into a percentile against a matched peer group — same position group, same competition tier, same season. A player in the 90th percentile is elite for his role and level, not just high on a list that mixes a low-major centre with a Power 5 guard.
Rate statistics carry volume thresholds. A player who attempted three three-pointers all season is not a shooter, and he does not appear on a shooting leaderboard. Qualification requires meaningful games played and minutes per game.
On top of the percentiles sit composite scores built for scouting questions rather than box-score curiosity: shooting talent, playmaking, athleticism, physical upside, and a draft ceiling score weighed against the historical record of players who came before.
