NBA & G League Shooting Talent Index (STI)

The Shooting Talent Index combines three-point percentage, free throw percentage, true shooting and shooting volume into one number. Free throw percentage carries real weight because it is the cleanest available signal of touch, independent of defence and shot selection, and it holds up better than three-point percentage over small samples.

The STI measures a player's overall shooting talent on a 0–100 percentile scale, ranked across the full international pool. Higher = better shooter relative to all qualified international players this season. Click any column header to re-sort.

STI is a composite percentile score combining four shooting metrics, each Bayesian-adjusted for sample size:

FT% (Bayesian adj.)	27%	Free throw percentage corrected for attempts volume
TS%	25%	True Shooting % — overall scoring efficiency
3PAr (normalized)	10%	3-point attempt rate — rewards players who shoot from range

The composite is then percentile-ranked across all qualified international players. A score of 90+ = top 10% shooter internationally.
